A big thank you to the hundred or more supporters who came to Dail Eireann to protest about the plight of our native hedgerows. This turned out to be a wonderful event with amazing placards, great speeches and representatives from all walks of life!

Many TD's and Senators came out to talk to us and hear our frustrations with the system which is continuing to allow wholesale hedgerow removal on the one hand and very poor payments for hedgerows on the other. The demonstration ended with a march from Leinster House to the Department of Agriculture where a letter to Minister Charlie McConalogue was handed in with our demands and a request to meet him. So far, a month later we have had no reply to the letter.
